Welcome to The Rewatch Job! We're going to be rewatching Leverage, 1 episode per week, starting from February 1st 2020. Each Saturday, there'll be a discussion post. Any spoilers for future episodes or future series should be hidden behind spoiler tags or posted in rot13 encoding, to allow anyone watching for the first time to watch spoiler free if they want to.

If you've got icons to share, or meta, or art or fic that only covers episodes we've watched so far, please share it! We'll put up a prompt post each week as well, for people who want to prompt or write comment fic or quick art sketches.

Leverage is currently streaming on Amazon Prime in both the UK and US, and is available to buy on DVD. In Canada, it's available on iTunes with the first episode free. In the US it can also be accessed on Vudu and PlutoTV and on IMDB TV for free.

Membership is open and posting is open to all members. Anon comments will be screened and IP addresses logged. For now, IP addresses will not be logged for any comments from logged in accounts.

Rules may evolve as we go on, but for now, please note that racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia or transphobia will get you booted out, and the mod's decision is final. Be excellent to each other, treat each other with respect and kindness, and have fun.

Our final episode of season 1 and I fail at posting in the morning. The weather changes have bothbody and brain a tad discombobulated.

Today we're watching and commenting about season 1 episode 13 - The Second David Job. Expect spoilers for episodes 1-12 in the comments.

If you want to comment about anything that happens in later seasons, please use rot13 to encode your comment, so anyone trying to avoid spoilers can do so. And yes, there are some people here watching for the first time!

Not sure what to comment about? How about your favourite scene? Your favourite character so far? What surprised you? Did any of the things said resonate with you? How about setting or design choices?

And don't forget about our fic prompt post if anything strikes inspiration! We also welcome icons, banners and other graphics for those who are visually artistically inclined (or point us to people making them).

Thanks to everyone who is commenting!

Will seek views about whether people want a short break or to go pretty quickly into Season 2 next week.

For the moment enjoy the final episode of S1!

Good...um... afternoon everyone (sorry about that - there may have been a lie in today)! Working from home in lockdown is taking a toll as the days slide into one another. A weekday no longer feels different to a weekend - I don't know about everyone else but work is spilling over into personal time and vice-verse. I need to work on better routines!

However on the fun side of the equation - today we're watching and commenting about season 1 episode 12 - we're almost at season end - The First David Job (remember we're watching in the intended order not the aired order). Expect spoilers for episode 1-11 in the comments.

If you want to comment about anything that happens in later episodes, please use rot13 to encode your comment, so anyone trying to avoid spoilers can do so. And yes, there are some people here watching for the first time!

If you're willing to host or post a weekly discussion post, please leave a comment on the schedule and say which one!

Thanks to everyone who is commenting! It's the last episode of S1 next week - shall we go straight into season 2?

Thanks to everyone who is commenting! Two more episodes and we'll be at the end of season 1 - I may have just caught up by then.

I've got a few tasks to do today for our allotment society and then a lot of planting of windowboxes at home. But I plan to sit down and chill out this evening by indulging in some Leverage viewing! See you in the comments *G*

We're back (again)! Apologies for the gap - I'd promised the lovely [personal profile] vae that I'd help out and promptly forgot (a side effect of plague season is my brain turning to mush).

Anyway we're here now, just over midway through Season 1, and with a reboot on the horizon we should get a wiggle on to refresh our memories about the good things in the show!

Today we're watching and commenting about season 1 episode 8, The Bank Shot Job (remember we're watching in the intended order not the aired order). Expect spoilers for episode 1 - 7 in the comments.

I know we've all been a bit AWOL for various reasons but here's something that might re-invigorate our interest in the rewatch.

LEVERAGE IS COMING BACK!

https://deadline.com/2020/04/leverage-reboot-noah-wyle-timothy-hutton-not-returning-imdb-tv-beth-riesgraf-gina-bellman-christian-kane-aldis-hodge-amazon-studios-1202912578/

That's right our core team - Sophie, Parker, Eliot and Hardison are returning with a new character played by Noah Wylie.

Anyone fancy picking up the rewatch again? *G*

So, I have been quiet around here and missed posting several discussion posts. I apologise; something happened in my personal life that meant I could not respond objectively to the allegations about Timothy Hutton's actions in the 1980s. (Please internet search if you need to, I do not have the fortitude to discuss the subject.)

My personal, considered response is that hundreds of people are involved in making a TV show, and it's more important for me to honour their work and the message of the show than it is to avoid Timothy Hutton's work. If anyone feels differently, I absolutely understand that.

For those happy to continue watching, my intention is to resume the discussion posts on Saturday 21st March. For those who are not, thank you for sharing with us, and if there's another show you want to share as a rewatch, let us know and I'm sure people will want to watch it with you.

Hi, graphics loving and graphics creating people! We have fic prompt post(s coming soon) running for the writing people in our community, but what can we do for graphics? What works for you? Do you want the same kind of prompt post where people can leave screengrabs, quotes, character requests etc? Do you just want a post where you can post graphics for each episode? Do you want a post per episode with a selection of screengrabs that everyone can use to have a go at making icons?

No poll because I don't think I can narrow this down without your input - I'm not a visually imaginative person, so help me out and I'm happy to put up (or have you put up!) whatever posts will help you share your creations.

The overwhelming majority has opted for one fic prompt post per season, with RPF in a separate, comm-locked post, so I shall get those up tomorrow.

Very few people had strong feelings about crossovers, but we did get a couple of comments from people who are strongly against them. I think we're going to go with allowing crossover prompts as long as they're clearly marked, but please don't fill a prompt with a crossover unless it's clearly marked as such. Actually, let's apply the same rule to AUs - go with canon unless the prompter has specifically requested an AU.

Comments are disabled on this post; if you have any more you want to say about fic prompt posts, please do so on the previous post, which is the one with the poll.

We want to host some comment fic prompts and fills in the comm here (obviously feel free to post links to your other fic in the comm as well!), and we'd like your feedback on the best way to do it.

Do people have strong feelings on crossovers? Let us know in comments, because I forgot to add it to the poll!

If we decide on one post per season or one overall, I'll sticky it at the top of the comm and put it in the links so it's easy to find. RPF should be comm-locked, FPF will be public, and we'll ask people to warn for spoilers plus the usual AO3 warnings. Any comment fic you post here can, of course, be crossposted to AO3, your own journal, or wherever you want to put it. Please do not repost fic written by other people. (Linking is fine! Don't repost without permission.)
